Overview

Ashley Wark - Asst. Coach / Pitching Coach

Ashley Wark graduated from Patriot High School in 2014 and attended Gardner-Webb University, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She then went on to get her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University, graduating in 2020. She currently is an assistant softball coach at Brentsville District High School and teaches 3rd grade at The Nokesville School. 

 

As a player, Ashley played for the SYA Xplosion softball program out of Centerville, Virginia where she led the team to 4 straight ASA National Championship tournaments. During that time, Xplosion won the ASA State Championship 3 times. During her 4 year high school career, Ashley earned All-District every year. She also received  All -Region honors the last 3 years and earned 1st Team All State her Senior year. Ashley was also chosen as the Cedar Run District player of the year in 2014. At Patriot, Ashley graduated as number 1 in strikeouts and wins. 

 

Ashley’s college years were playing D1 at Gardner-Webb University. In her 4 year career, Ashley finished in the top 10 of all time in career wins, complete games, innings pitched, strikeouts, and finished number 1 all time in saves. Ashley was recognized in 2018 on the Big South All-Academic Team. Ashley is looking forward to helping other girls reach their softball goals.
